INK serenaders have performed many times throughout the year for different organizations, however this is their first time this year performing in competition.

Saturday night hundreds gathered in Pruis Hall to support Phi Mu’s first ever Bonnamu— a show consisting of many band and musician performances to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, but more specifically Riley Children’s Hospital in Indiana.

INK’s serenade team took to the stage to end the show performing a medley on songs including “Up Town Funk” by Mark Ronson, “Earth Angel” by the Temptations and “Treasure” by Bruno Mars. The medley won them the award for best group performance.

“I was surprised how well it went since prep for it was a bit sporadic, but as always the serenade team came through with a great performance,” said INK Philanthropy Chairman Louie Wieseman. “We were just expecting to do a nice little performance for who was there. The best group award was a nice way to end that night.”

Phi Mu was able to raise $1,334.34 from the event.
