The Indiana Kappa Chapter of Phi Delta Theta is pleased to be offering three scholarships to male students enrolled at Ball State University for each semester of of the academic year as part of our “Three Cardinal Principles Scholarship Program.”
The program was developed to recognize men who exemplify our Fraternity’s Three Cardinal Principles of Friendship, Sound Learning, and Moral Rectitude. All eligible men are encouraged to apply to one or more of the scholarships listed. AWARD AMOUNT: $250. Brother Moeller is a founding member of the Indiana Kappa Chapter of Phi Delta Theta. The recipient of the Above & Beyond Scholarship will be selected based on a review of his participation in extracurricular activities and leadership roles in organizations throughout his high school and college years. The men of Phi Delta Theta are committed to the development of leadership qualities among brothers and within the community as a whole.
AWARD AMOUNT: $100. Brother Stroud is a recognized professor, faculty adviser and former chairperson of the Elementary Education Department here at Ball State. The recipient of the Sound Learning Scholarship will be selected based on a review of his academic achievement and endeavors. The recipient is expected to have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above.
AWARD AMOUNT: $100. The recipient of the Community Service Scholarship will be selected based on a review of his involvement in the community. Recipient may provide documentation showing his involvement (ex. Documented hours, thank you letters, etc.)
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be men enrolled at BSU in the fall of 2015.
- Applicants or recipients are in no way required to join Phi Delta Theta, but are encouraged to attend recruitment events to meet undergraduate members.
- Applicants must include a high school or college transcript (official or unofficial) with the application.
- Finally, applicants must be men of well-rounded character, who exhibit our Three Cardinal Principles of Friendship, Sound Learning, and Moral Rectitude.
